Foot fetishism is a fetishistic strong interest in human feet. This paraphilia is also called podofilia. It is also one of the most common fetish in males.

foot fetishist View

A foot fetishist can be sexually aroused to see, touch, pet, smell, lick, suck, kiss or harass in different ways all over the foot of another person, or having another person doing the same on their feet. It can also be excited by the act of being trampled by another person. The fetishist response is the same or very similar to the response sexual arousal compared to genitalia or other sex-specific traits such as female breasts).

Explanations proposed for the foot fetish

A Freudian hypothesis is that in many cultures, the infant's experience with his mother worship can involve your foot. If it leaves a mark on the sexual behavior during this period can transform your foot on the first object of sexual arousal. Without being aware of sexual differences of men and women, and the first part of the body that looks as of now is the object which will begin to develop fetishism. In the example of foot fetishism, Freud theorized that the boy was looking introvertedly people and the first thing is the foot. The brain somehow standing properties attributed to sex once said that in the example has occurred. Freud considered the act of foot-binding in China as an act of fetishism.

An explanation of neurologist Professor Vilayanur S. Ramachandran emphasizes the fact that the foot and genitals occupy adjacent areas in somatosensory cortex, possibly having links between them.

Another theory argues that human foot shape is visually similar to the curves found in the human body, particularly the female hips (again explaining the tendency for foot fetishists are mostly men).

Another theory postulates that visually, genitals and feet occupy the same space within view of sex that you see a person, when the legs are lifted for sex, and some men are influenced by that cerebralmemente printing ancestors to find that part of the erotic body.

Another possible theory behind the foot fetish might be headed in the idea that a person's feet are normally hidden, much like male genitalia or female breasts. Exposure of the feet could hypothetically produce a feeling of pleasure in the same way that they could do the breast.

Another possible explanation is that, considering that parts of the body that produce a scent are sexually attractive (as the genitals), and feet have a particular smell, they produce sexual stimulation.

Another view is that many people consider the curves in general and sexually exciting and shape of the foot is composed of curved (like the breasts, waist, hips, and some joints). Ankle, instep, heel, floor, fingers, etc.. are usually curved, making the walk one of the most curves of the human body. By these curves would be just that much of the foot fetishists are excited to see a woman walking barefoot and dirty plants and dust, leaving part of the clean arches, highlights the curves of the female foot.

The relationship between foot worship and masochistic submission is very common, but this does not mean that the foot fetish is necessarily linked BDSM. Thus, many female foot fetishists are excited to see a woman walking barefoot in places rough, rocky, hot, etc. and even see pictures and videos that are punishable by the soles of the female protagonist. Punishment in the soles of the feet is known as bastinado
